Kenny with Jennings

Capt. Justin

Put Mr. Kenny on them again. We caught 154 fish. Considering the weather forecast it actually turned out to be a pretty nice day on the water and boy were they snapping. Nice class of fish.

with Capt. Jennings

Capt. Greg

Anna,
My wife and I had a great trip yesterday with Greg.  Things could not have gone better.  We caught 70 plus fish and more importantly my wife loved the experience.  We plan on that being a yearly trip for us.  Thanks again.

hooked

"George,  Another kid hooked on fishing the Roanoke. This was his first and by far not his biggest. Justin was great and very patient with us. Many thanks for putting our trip together. "

cold front fishing

anywhere else can be not productive.   fished a double today and the fishing had slowed, but each group had over 75 fish, all on artificials.....specifically 3/8 oz head and zoom fluke in any color.  get it to the bottom and make it move.

my arms are sore and I'm heading to the mountains for a few days of R and R.   Capt. Ray will be running my skiff and we continue to have scattered openings.   An amazing year, don't miss out, ring me up and let's get you on the water.

Double the flow, double the fish

Still really, really good fishing, 80-100 fish half days.   Only counting the limit.   Handfull of "slot" fish 22-27 inches but no whoppers yet.   All the ingredients are here for a truly Epic season.

Got off the water today before the rain.  I don't think that i'll need to fix my bait tank pump this year.  The other guides are rigged up with bait, which is just sick fishing.   Crazy stupid.   It's not every cast on the fly, but when you get on them, it's about 2 out of every 3 casts that you catch one.

baitwell pump is broke

let's see how long I can make it before I have to fix it.  I haven't bought or caught a shad yet.  All the stripers that we have caught have been on artificial lures and flies.   They are going to jack the water up tomorrow so I've heard, doubling the flow.   Let's see what that does to my bite.   Usually when the water rises like that another charge of fish makes a run up the river.   I'll be waiting on them with bent rods.......even that takes fixing the baitwell pump.

epic shake down cruise

My shake down cruise started a little slow but when I found 'em, wow.   On 4 different stops I caught at least 10 on 10 casts.   Over 100 fish, by myself, in less than 4 hours, all on jigs, flies and top water.
Really as good as it gets.
Want some?   Shaping up to be the best season ever on the Roanoke........ if they just don't mess with the water! Give me a ring, we have openings.

shake down cruise in my forecast

......oh, wait, that's not Justin, that was today inshore in Costa Rica, nice cubera and rooster.   Offshore a handfull of sails and a big dorado
Capt. Justin Haddock's pics from today.   Smiling faces all over.

spring has sprung. Confirmed

Confirmed.   I'm here to see it.   Left some good fishing in Costa Rica and it sounds like I'm coming home to some good fishing here.   Capt. Just Haddock just called in with his first report  of the year with some pics to follow, but 70+ stripers in a half day aint too shabby.
see you on the Roanoke shortly.
