Capt. Chris half day

Pretty solid 1/2 day for late March... tons of 2-3# blues, plenty of bass, a couple 10-12# albies, released one grouper and even a small king. Never lost site of land.

Capt. Justin Haddock getting it done

Lower end of the Roanoke today. Nice class of fish with one over slot. 28 1/2. These stopped off at Haddock's shad shack for a snack. They will not be making the migration up to Weldon.

shad roe?

One of the things that I miss with a late season here in Costa Rica.  I may get some this year!
Thanks Greg for sending the pic, he caught over 50 in 3 hours today
Down the river there is some excellent speck fishing happening.  Lots of action and a few keepers.

Newsletter forthcoming

Keep an eye out for it.   I am about caught up from all of Anna's honey do's.
The fishing down here was red hot but slowed down quite a bit this week.  I am hoping for a chance to get out there,  at the very least for some inshore action before the last leg of the Triple Crown in a couple of weeks.

Sorry I've been slack on reports

Just been working my butt off.   Seriously, fun day at the beach yesterday, first one in a long time.    Other than that big roosterfish from the beach earlier in the season, one catfish while fishing with Roy and the tournaments, I have been tied down to the office.....

Slack in reports

Dragin Fly Fishing Reports

I was advised that I have been slack with my fishing reports.   Yup, I have been overlooking this site, but have been posting reports from Costa Rica and the Dragin Fly at the above link.

It sounds like things are starting to turn into spring in NC with some shad and stripers around, a few trout in the creeks, drum at the beach......but still too cold for me to head that direction, especially with the good fishing here in Costa Rica.

We just finished up the 2nd leg of the Triple Crown, landing 57 sailfish in 3 days, but only good enough for 11th place.   I hope that great sailfishing continues.

I'll be in the office all week, still catching up and trying to get that newsletter out.   Don't wait on us, if you are ready to get out on the water, shoot us an e mail and we'll make it happen.

NC booking for this season are very busy and we have had a rash of inquiries for  Costa Rica 2020.
