pics from the tropics

sailfish bite continues to be mixed, one day is in the double digits, the next you are scrapping out two or three to make the day.  The marlin bite continues to be very consistent with a couple of shots each day.   The last three days we've been chasing tunas and sent a bunch of it back home.   At least an 80 pounder each day with a couple into the triple digits.

swordfish trip

No swords, but it really was nice spending the night under the starts.    Put the tunas to bed and woke up with them in the morning.  Great learning experience with Capt. Johnny LaGrone and my friend Marc for letting me ride along.   Pics from the trip:

Where the weather is warm

The sailfish bite is picking up, we saw double digits yesterday, catching 6 of them, plus the big story, the marlin bite continues, caught 3 of 4 blue marlin bites yesterday.   Plus a 40 pound tuna and nice dorado for dinner.   I got in the car and was on the way home when I saw something harrassing the mullets on the beach.   I had to put a stop to that and taught that 15 pound roosterfish a lesson:  "Don't mess with the mullets sporting hardware!"

Here are a few pics from our day yesterday:
