But I will go with Capt. James anywhere he takes us. We probably would have caught more fish if we weren't trying to win, but for two and a half days we were on the hunt for the winning bite that BC Angel found this afternoon. Congrats to the Sea Angel on their victory. For us, regrouping and strategizing for next year.

very long day
Wow. We saw 6 fish, one was a blue marlin that didn't eat. one was a sail that didn't eat and our team caught only 1 of 4 sailfish bites. To be honest, after today, I'm glad to at least be on the board without a zero. Hopefully hero tomorrow with the lead within reach of every boat in the tournament.
It ain't blue marlin or tarpon but......
......sometimes you just have to match the tackle with what you are catching. Epic shad bite at Weldon right now, stripers won't be long now, just a couple of weeks away. Enjoy the pics and report from Capt. Mitch.
Hey
George, customers said they caught their biggest shad ever and the most shad
they've ever caught on a trip. It was indeed a barnburner! Got them
on fly singles doubles doubles on fly double doubles.
If anglers are attempting to fish Weldon under current conditions I can't stress how careful they need to be. Hire a guide it will save you time and money.-----Capt. Mitch

Dixie Deer
Come check us out at the Raleigh fairgrounds at the Dixie Deer Classic. Greg and Jennings will be there and it looks like Mitch may be dropping in.
Here are some pics from Mitch and his recent report from the Roanoke. Sounds like Greg is doing about the same on the Neuse.
50 to100 fish shad days on light tackle and fly.

The Roanoke Striper bite has been awesome casting and fly,
season in open for keepers.
Pamlico, Striper bite is full throttle, some Reds in the mix
and some great Perch jerking.
