Getting Ready?

Don't get too excited.....just passing along this shot that John Rea sent me from 2006, one of the first stripers that we caught over 30 pounds out of the Roanoke River......back when we were permitted to use foot long live river herring for bait.   This fish should be in the 40 pound range now  Yes, there are a lot of big fish out there, but without their natural bait as natural bait, those big bites are no longer a daily occurrence.

Yes, it could happen, but expect to make the day with the large numbers for which the Roanoke is famous.
