Offshore/Nearshore
Offshore:
"Sunday May 6 the bite went off in and around the Big Rock! The mahi's were thick with many boats cashing in on the bounty, some with over forty gaffers and slingers! Blue marlin have been seen by several boats over the weekend...and while the wahoo bite has tapered somewhat I still believe they will show in force once more before the hot water takes over.
Sadly for the Run-Off, we were canceled for this coming Saturday May 12 and are looking for a charter! We feature hands on fishing for those that wish to be more involved in cockpit activities. Don't miss out on this prime time action!
your mate,
Marty aka WAHOONBOX"
Inshore:
"Decent showing of cobia last week through Friday. I arrived just in time to piss on the coals of the campfire, standing all alone in the darkness after 3 days and 280 miles of looking, I haven't seen a cobia. That party was over. Do not be discouraged, another wave is on the way and they are going to stay for a while, this thing is just getting started."
Capt. George
Although I am booked through May, we have some other great boats for offshore, nearshore and inshore that are available. Even Capt. Brian and Supermate Marty on the Run Off have a rare Saturday opening. Capt. Ray Massengil is back from the tug and ready for a tug, so is Capt. Charles Brown. Capt. Greg Voliva is riding high in his new tower. Capt. Chris Kimrey is always making it happen in his backyard.....no cobia today, but he worked on sight casting those big bluefish. Capt. Joe Ward is dividing his time between the cobes and fishing on the Neuse with Capt. Gary Dubiel. If you want on the water, give Anna a ring and let's make it happen.
