Pacific Tarpon

Yup, that's right, Pacific tarpon. There has been a steadily growing population that made it though the canal and are thriving in the coastal waters of Panama, even southern Costa Rica. I saw a pair about 10 years ago while fishing out of Quepos. These are pics of a tarpon caught yesterday by some of the guys fishing for roosterfish out of Herradura Bay. They hooked two of them and landed this little guy, almost inevetibly spawned in the Pacific.
